Behold The Gospel of Truth

I have been racking my brains about writing material this June. I think the one month break dried me up, but I believe for a good reason. I had time to reflect and also experience many things and blessings from God.

When God calls us to do something for Him, be sure it is always outside our comfort zone. Our flesh is used to comfort and approval of men but the scriptures say that

“He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

If any man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also My servant be: if any man serve Me, him will My Father honour.” John 12 : 25-26 (KJV)

God does not coerce us to serve Him. He calls us to serve Him from our hearts and tell others of His grace, love, and mercy. I look at this calling as such great an honor; being chosen for a heavenly assignment. Because truly, the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ saved my life. The emptiness I had felt for such a long time was engulfed by this enveloping love of Christ.

There is so much emptiness in people’s lives these days. People desire love, to be loved, to be understood, to be accepted, to be approved, to be chosen, to be famous, to be valued and all of that…and for this, we go to extreme measures to get these things. We go to the lengths of even misusing our bodies and minds in the hope of filling this void.

How long do we need to stay in this cycle to see that it is just like a cancer? One sin bears another, and soon, we find ourselves bearing roots of anger, hatred, selfishness, pride, jealousy, competition and from these, we murder, we steal, we harm our bodies, we get into vicious debt cycles, we get into sexual sin which eventually leads to sickness and death.

There is abundant life in Christ. All the things we think the world can give us, we can find in Christ in abundance. He is able to give us double for our trouble. He is faithful and He is the reason I get up every morning to wear joy on my sleeve. He walks with me in every step, He guides my path, that no evil should come against me; that if I should ever walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for He is with me.

Imagine to have somebody love you in this way, to hold you down like this not asking for anything in return. I feel I owe Him everything, I owe Him my time, my praise and He deserves all the glory not out of obligation but from a place of deep love and veneration.

God loves us all, if only we could turn away from evil and call upon His name, He will answer us without fail.
