Cousins Day Out

Every time I am doing an adventure post, I usually wonder what I should write because I am both excited and I want to share as much information about the place as possible, however I end up posting mostly the photos because…well—research. If you are a researcher you know the dynamics that come about with it, the reading, the piecing together, the creation, the thought process, the writing, the proof reading, the erasing, the rewriting, the quotation of other writers… Basically it is a full time full time job and no that was not repetition.

Previously I used to do an extensive research about the place I visited then marry the information with my photos. I have not done that for a while now, allow me to blame my time allocation. I do have a few intensive projects currently running that require my total attention, therefore I have decided to tone down the research; but not entirely, I do plan on finding a work around.

So let us get to the past weekend for a few minutes. I met with my lovely cousins over the weekend for lunch.

And yes we have gentlemen in our family.

Later, we visited the Kenya International Convention Center; better known as KICC without one of our lovely musketeer in red.

Kenya International Convention Center

It is a 28 storey building situated at the heart of Nairobi, it is rated as the most ideal place for local and international conferences & events. It used to be one of the tallest buildings in Nairobi until a few recent years ago.

I loved being inside the place, I am not entirely sure if it’s because of the red carpet, the grandiose ambience or the numerous wall clocks. I love such kinds of places, not because they are fancy or anything, but because they have the ability to shift my entire mood to writing mode. Literally!

So here we are…

Enjoy the photos, I highly recommend it as a place to visit. I actually told one of my cousins, I would write an entire book on that helipad. The beauty, the statement of the view is just enthralling, mind blowing, arresting emotions and thought.

For some reason I find this building construction intriguing. I think it is because of the top part of the architectural design

Being girl children we are a bit extra with photos. Haha

And to conclude…

Proverbs 17:22
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

We claim joyful and cheerful hearts, and may we always have genuine smiles and true love for one another.

That’s it for now.
