Planted Not Buried
There are times we get too excited to see what God is doing in our life, reflecting & meditating on His Word and what He has been telling us to be patient for. We keep raising our head peeping to see if we can get a glimpse into the future then we forget to focus on the now, this moment. I won’t lie, I have caught myself doing this, it is even hilarious, I find myself saying prayers like “Oh God I am ready for the next level, I think I have learnt what you are trying to teach me.”😂 But have I though?
That’s why I love God, He shows us where we are weak. After this funny prayer, we both have a laugh about it then He says, “keep going don’t worry about the promises, that’s on Me, I have already said it and I won’t change it, just focus on what I am doing in your life now.”
So, I too, am learning this to be patient; it is not easy but I am going to dedicate myself to obedience no matter what it takes. I’ll do it Lord! For Your glory! I am going to remain planted even when I feel like uprooting myself.
We give glory to God because He does not look for perfection but progression, I am so glad that I am not where I used to be one year, or five years, or ten years ago. He moves us from glory to glory.
2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (NIV)
