You Are An Accepted Mess

Many times we think that we are suffering alone and the rest of the world seems to be doing great. People appear to have it together and the grass looks greener on the other side of the lawn. {Looks|Appearance|Seemingly} Note in bold; being perceptions.

There is a lot of false joy and happiness that is depicted and traded on social media, family gatherings, work places and even church meetings. But the real truth lies in the place of solace where reality is ever-so present like a personal shadow.

There is totally nothing wrong with being broken, feeling messed up, needing help and reaching at crossroads. God allows us to go through some things in life that we would under normal circumstances retreat from if we had a choice. However, it is in these moments and times when the desire to call upon Him is the greatest and most times we find ourselves crying to Him innately.

In this day and time, it is easy to conclude that God does not care, He is just sitted somewhere in His heavenly comfort looking down at all the evil in the world.

With time and seeking, everyday I am learning that God is trustworthy. He really is, even in the darkest of all situations, He is ever present.

You remember the article I wrote about the beginning of time, in the heavenly realm?

Different people had different opinions and somebody even asked me, “If God is so loving why did He cast down the devil to the earth knowing very well our weaknesses?”

A difficult one to explain especially to a bruised reed. The only explanation I could give was, “Ask God, demand from God, interrogate Him, He is not afraid of your questions, tantrums and confusion because some mysteries are only revealed to us as a result of our own desires and will to ask, seek and find.

St. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 2:14 “The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

This means, there are some things you will only get revelations of in the spirit that you would otherwise never have known or fathomed with a carnal mind.

The whole of existence is groaning and suffering. Therefore there is no shame in feeling unworthy and messed up. Only human beings use shame to magnify the fears that are already manifest within. That is why it is important for me to share the love, mercy and grace of God to those in doubts, to those who are at the crossroads, to those in confusion, to those who are bruised, to those who are weak and weary. To the whole world.

I love how Romans 8 expresses my whole message.

It says from verse 19–21
“The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.”

We are all in the same journey only that some have embraced their fallen nature and are giving it all to Christ and others are still carrying the world on their shoulders not having the cognisance that Jesus already carried it for us so that we may be saved.

Yesterday, I read an article on another blog where the writer said that creation is in that period where Jesus is dead and He has not risen from the dead; sort of like it is in the middle of Good Friday and Easter Monday…waiting…waiting… waiting… That resonated.

Therefore, God is trustworthy. He really is. And the most wondrous way this is revealed to us is in one of my favorite verses.

I love King James Version—hath He said, and shall He not do it, hath He not spoken, and shall He not make it good?

So the grass is indeed greener on the other side, it only depends on where you are focusing on.
