God’s Word Never Fails

There seems to be something happening with the governments around the world. A shaking of some sort. And this is not only being experienced in Africa, but all over the world. There is rising a high level of unrest, violence, mistrust, hate, divisive factions, discord amongst people and between governments and its citizens.

This is interesting because God gave us a revelation of the things that would happen in the last days. And we can see them unfolding right before our very eyes.

Many people dispute the Bible as God’s revelation to man. But they are doing it at their own peril. For God will bring to pass all He has promised and spoken of according to His word. The nation of Israel is a standing testimony that His word never fails. For they were taken captive by gentile nations severally as was spoken through the old testament prophets and God restored them back to their land as He had promised.

Hebrews 1

1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.

And the things that were spoken of over 2000 years ago are rapidly coming to pass. The world is certainly not what it was twenty years ago or even ten years ago.

These are perilous times we are living in. There is a deep corruption that is taking over and evil is being called good and good is called evil. We can see this by the appalling state of the film and music industry today—filth; for lack of a better word. Also the emphasis on beauty and cosmetics has become a total absurdity, this industry is valued at an estimated $530 billion and counting, while there are billions of people dying of poverty and hunger. The priorities of the world are totally overturned. Drug abuse is on the rise and mental health problems have skyrocketed to another level.

This world is  becoming totally antagonistic toward God day by day and people are living their lives according to their own conscience, standards and desires. God’s laws have been tossed away and have been termed to be outdated and old man’s fables.

Even christians have been swayed away as well, some are falling away from biblical teachings and going back to old traditions to perform libations to ancestors and suchlike things. This is dangerous for a people confessing to be Christians.

Fear God and trust in Jesus Christ! Let nobody deceive you and lead you away from Christ. There is no such thing as appeasing ancestors and making sacrifices to them for peace or rebuking generational curses. The blood of Jesus was sufficient to cover for our sins once and for all. Jesus is able to fight all our battles. In case you have been caught up in such, repent and turn to the Lord!

We are in the very last second of things before Jesus comes for His bride (the church).

I was talking to my sister about Noah. And it is quite interesting that Jesus said His coming would be like in the days of Noah. The people during Noah’s time thought He was deluded and crazy building an ark until the rain started to fall.

Peter talked about how scoffers would arise in the last days walking after their lusts saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

1 Timothy 4

1 Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

2 Timothy 3

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Even Christ’s message of grace has been subverted and turned into false doctrines of lies. Men claiming to speak for God teaching self esteem doctrines, telling people that words have creative power of the kind of life they desire, replacing salvation with positive thinking, teachings about having dominion and better lives on earth and several other false doctrines.

There are many ravening wolves fleecing the flock of God with sweet teachings tingling to the ears. And I had fallen prey to such in the past and made foolish judgements in my life. But I thank God who through Christ, has bestowed upon His children abundant graces and mercy. That we should hear the voice of Jesus Christ leading us from all evil into His glorious truth.

One time I heard a pastor preaching from the book of Ecclesiastes on a sermon from the verse about a time for everything.  He told them the reason why some of his congregation were single is because their season to be married had come but wasted time. He talked about how there was a time to be in church and a time to be in the clubs partying (especially during his birthday) and the people said Amen! Good Lord!

Be not deceived my friends! Let us walk in the  light and not in the dark, praying that God will lead us to His truth and help us to stay in it. Darkness has no fellowship with light! Jesus once told of a parable of ten bridesmaids. Think of the many people who walked with God faithfully ten years ago and have now fallen asleep like the five foolish bridesmaids. Awake and stay ready! Carry extra oil for the lamps that are dying out (diminished hope and faith in God’s promises).

If people want to mock you for living godly or call you a fanatic! Let them! It should come as no surprise as Jesus said that would happen. It may look foolish to men to live for Christ; but remember, it pleased God that through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

I know at times I write warning people with tones that sound harsh. But I do it from a place of love and concern. Jesus has called me to speak the truth according to His Word, and if I were to comfort people with lies, then He will hold me accountable. Things are going to get worse in the world but God has vowed to be with all His children. We are sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 3

10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,
11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

God is gracious and merciful and is always ready to forgive and receive anybody who repents into His fold. Just as you are! Go to Him. In that mess and entanglement you may have created in your life. The best gift a man can ever give to himself is accepting Christ to be his Saviour and LORD.

Having a relationship with Jesus is the most beautiful thing ever, it beats anything I have ever experience personally. Tim Keller quoted, the only person who dares to wake a king up at 3AM for a glass of water is a child. And we have that kind of an access.’ When I read that, I said spot on! That is the kind of relationship we have when we come to Jesus. When we are in trouble, when we are doing amazing, when we are overwhelmed, anytime, anywhere, Jesus’ speed dial never fails.

I have this friend I met in church and we were both talking about how our lives were before Jesus. He was telling me how he has some friends who struggle everyday with worldly pleasures and his heart breaks for them that at times, he prays saying, “Lord if you would just remove a full stop of the joy you have given me and dip it into my friend’s bloodstream” They would repent immediately.

Jesus gives peace and joy indescribable!  And His peace surpasses all understanding.

Therefore, knowing that we have such a great salvation, how can we reject the love of Christ? The word of God never fails.

Revelation 22

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
