We are just a few days away from Christmas (like y’all don’t know that). Yeeeeei.
Well… I am not that over-the-top excited though. (Just felt like throwing that gif in there.)
But I am joyous and thankful. My heart is filled with gratitude towards God for all His benefits unto me: for family, friends, good health, life, strength, grace, purpose, and above all His love love love love love…
Anyway, so much about me.
How have you all been doing for the last thirteen days or so? Hope you’ve all been well and surrounded by God’s unending mercies.
The month has been an extremely busy one from my end. But good all the same.
This past weekend, I got to reunite with some of my family members which was a blessing.
And aside from that, during my travel to Thika, I also happened to spot a billboard along Thika road that had me excited for sure.
I could only imagine the multitudes of people who use Thika road on a daily basis (and not just Thika Road only, but all other places this billboard has been placed)— having to see this hope-filled message. (Especially given the high pressure kind of society we live in today— to emphasize— in this time and age.)
I thought to myself, “Yes indeed! People need to know that there is somebody who offers peace freely and in abundance.” It gave me so, so much hope to see that God is still working, still drawing people to Himself, still extending grace to us in all ways possible.
For many people this year, the year could be ending-again- on another unfulfilled, hopeless, strife-filled, purposeless, and even distressing note… but the hope still remains… Jesus lives; and He offers peace to all who receive Him every breathing moment.
Being that our very own lives depend on Him, He is able to give us a peace that no man can give.
He is able not only to give peace, but to take away our worldly burdens, worries, anxieties, pain, doubts, hurts and disappointments. He is able to take away the rejections and reproaches we have ever experienced in our lives.
He is able. Because He bore them all in His own body; emerging —sinless and victorious— at the end of it all.
And in addition to a peace that surpasses all human understanding, He offers eternal life.
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.
31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And you are witnesses of these things.
That’s my message for today.
Jesus is the reason for the season— and He is the Prince of Peace Himself.
Trust in Him.
In case you do not hear from me again for some time.
Sending you my heartfelt festive greetings and wishing you a blessed and happy holidays!
