One of God’s Most Majestic Creatures

There is something about the horse that makes one revere and admire God’s mind. I don’t know about you, but I am most especially fascinated and blown away whenever I think of some of God’s creation – and the horse is at the top of that list.

The horse is one of the most beautiful and majestic creatures I have ever laid my eyes on in the realm of all mammalia. Interestingly, I find we share the same sentiments with some Bedouin legend.

None as excellent as the horse

Sure, there are probably some other exotic creations of God that are nothing short of glorious but: the horse…

His temperament is intriguing, his courage is entrancing, his beauty: elegant, his fierceness is fascinating, his gallop is suave, and his spirit: unbreakable. The horse is such a sublime animal.

At times, I can’t wait to get to heaven to have conversations with God -face to face- after all this earthly business is done away with and just soak in His full wisdom on many subjects.

God Himself, had something to say about the horse while He was questioning Job’s wisdom. And interestingly, I find that the observation He makes on His own creation -the horse- (so paradoxical even writing this statement), is one I personally, am intrigued by: “He mocks at fear and is not dismayed or terrified; neither does he turn back [in battle] from the sword.

This statement denotes courage – unswerving courage.

Now, there are times I find that I exhibit certain quirks that amaze me on certain days and scare me on other days; quirks like: risk-taking, tenacity, spiritedness, gutsiness, adventure… such, make my heart run wild with an intensity only God knows, and only God can tame.

I absolutely do not know how to be normal, flat, expressionless, dull, spiritless, uniform…etc… I cringe, cringe, cringe whenever I feel caged anywhere. Because within, I have the spirit of an eagle or a wild horse.

The reason I find myself relating more to the horse, is because he is fierce, has grit, willpower and strength, he is stout-hearted and what captivates me the most about him, is that above all these traits, he is also gentle; he displays sentiment and warmth. It is like strength under control: meekness/steady courage is the word.

If I were practicing the Indian religion, I’d come back as a horse every single time I am reincarnated. Lol!

But because Jesus is Lord, we stick to His wonderful truth.

Job 39 (Amplified Bible)

19 Have you given the horse his might? Have you clothed his neckwith quivering and a shaking mane?
20 Was it you [Job] who made him to leap like a locust? The majesty of his [snorting] nostrils is terrible [awesome]
21 He paws in the valley and exults in his strength; he goes out to meet the weapons [of armed men].
22 He mocks at fear and is not dismayed or terrified; neither does he turn back[in battle] from the sword.
23 The quiver rattles upon him, as do the glittering spear and the lance [of his rider].
24 [He seems in running to] devour the ground with fierceness and rage; neither can he stand still at the sound of the [war] trumpet.
25 As often as the trumpet sounds he says, Ha, ha! And he smells the battle from afar, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

What an animal! What a majestic creation of God!

And as a side note, I recommend my reader to watch the movie: Secretariat — if you haven’t seen it yet. It is my best horse movie ever and it is actually based on a true story.

So yes, I will definitely have a ranch and domesticate horses, and if not in this life, then the next one is not a gamble, it is a guarantee. You know? Because my Father owns the whole dang universe and everything innit! 😊

Psalms 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.

Okay… Let’s just be honest, whenever most people hear anything about religion, their first reaction and instinct is probably to cringe or brush off the whole matter entirely.

Why? Most likely because it is a subject that is associated with extreme cases of fanaticism, it brings about a lot of conflicts and controversies, and even offends easily.

Religion is famously known for: manipulation, stagnation, repression, ignorance, bigotry and is too often a threat to liberty. And rightly so. I do agree. With that said, I recommend you to read two of my posts as well as encourage you to do a personal, extensive, and honest research on your own regarding this matter. Why?

As intellectuals (critical thinkers), I believe we owe it to ourselves to interrogate, examine, and ask hard questions regarding matters touching on faith rather than choosing to ignore them or even worse— follow blind faith. Click here for the first post.

Who speaks the truth with regards to a genuine, sincere and true relationship with God? Is it Buddha? Muhammad? Jesus? Zoroaster? Confucius? Joseph Smith? Guru Nanak? Krishna? Among others? Find out on this second post:

Why Jesus Stands Out

My heart overflows with a goodly matter; I speak the things which I have made touching the king: My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Psalms 45:1
