Grace and Forgiveness

John 3:17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

Think of the repentant sinner on the cross. He acknowledged he was a sinner and deserved to be crucified, and asked Jesus to remember him.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Luke 23:42-43

He didn’t have time to be baptised or do any good works. He just confessed his sin and believed.

For this is the greatest love we have received from our Father. That whosoever believes should not perish.

Therefore, no matter how far one have fallen from God, He does not cast us aside when we come to Him, but He welcomes us back home. He still believes you and I are worth saving.

It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is THY faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23
